Managing the opportunities and risks of evolving carbon and emissions regulations

KEMA closely tracks rapidly evolving international, federal, regional, state and local level climate legislation and regulations, globally. We advise clients worldwide on the challenges and risks associated with climate change and how best to mitigate those risks in a highly uncertain environment. We co-develop strategies and provide risk based solutions for companies and governments, and help translating climate goals in workable actions.

We also advocate on behalf of clients to influence future carbon control policies and solutions. On an international basis, our consultants have experience working with the Kyoto Protocol and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). In the United States, we focus on the emerging markets under the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI), California’s Global Warming Solutions Act, the Western Climate Initiative (WCI), California Climate Action Registry (CCAR), The Climate Registry (TCR) and other voluntary markets.
