ISO 14064 Carbon footprint
KEMA provides services on ISO 14064 to assist in measuring, reducing and verification of greenhouse gas emissions.
KEMA has a strong involvement in the European Emission Trading System (EU-ETS) in advising our clients how to monitor emissions, validate the emission monitoring plans and install and operate measurement systems for the EU-ETS. KEMA is experienced in the determination of the organization's carbon footprint. Larger companies use our services for CDM project development. KEMA Emission Verification Services is an independent verification body for emission reporting. We perform projects concerning the conceptual design of monitoring for carbon capture and storage. Our statistical knowledge is applied for the assessment of the uncertainty of GHG measurement systems and emission inventories.
Our services on ISO 14064 provide governments, businesses, regions and other organizations with an integrated set of tools for programs aimed at measuring, reducing and verification of greenhouse gas emissions. It allows organizations to take part in emissions trading schemes by using globally recognized standards. In specific carbon footprinting projects we use the tools and procedures of WRI/WBCSD GHG Protocol for projects and the Voluntary Carbon Standard.
KEMA's consultancy, engineering and testing departments are well-experienced at working on a wide scope basis of international standards, including the ISO, IEC, ANSI & ASME standards. We are certified according to the Quality System Standard ISO 9001 and according to the Dutch standard for Health & Safety Working Environment (“VCA”) during the execution of projects.
